20/20 Home Groups: In Acts 20:20 St. Paul writes: “You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.” Our 20/20 Home groups gather together in a community of care and friendship to discuss Scripture, discover faith and walk through life together. The groups meet once a month to delve deeper into the sermon messages. We believe we change the world one group at a time.
Online Bible Study: Because people are busy and life can be chaotic we periodically offer short online studies using Zoom, the video conferencing application.
Marriage Group: We have a once a month gathering for married couples to discuss various subjects related to marriage. This group is called Connect.
Prayer Gatherings: We have special times of prayer throughout the year including weekly gatherings during Advent, Lent and the summer months.
Service Teams: A great way to be connected as well as use your gifts and passions is to join one of our many service teams. Each one is important and the Church flourishes when every person plays a part. We are open to ideas and if something doesn’t currently exist but somebody has a passion we will come alongside to help realize the dream. Audio/Visual Team/Social Media – Supporting the Sunday service through the use of various mediums including sound board, computer graphics, lighting and filming.
Buildings and Grounds – Maintaining the upkeep of the church building and the surrounding grounds it is located on.
Children’s Team – Serving opportunities as an aide, a teacher, a substitute or an events planner. We do background checks on all of our volunteers working in children’s/youth ministry in order to provide a safe environment for all.
Coffee Bar: We love coffee! But more than loving coffee we love drinking coffee while spending time with our friends in our cafe. Serving as a Baristas to prepare and serve the coffee is a great way to meet and interact with people.
Creative Arts/Worship Team – It’s more than singing and playing an instrument…it is leading others in worship…but singing or playing an instrument helps! Any way we can express worship through the arts (drama, film making, dancing, etc., instrumentation, singing) is welcome.
Marketing – Helping to promote the work and ministries of HMC includes helping to grow our presence through social media.
Missions – Global and local mission projects are supported. Missions is no longer considered to be the desolate areas across the continents. Missions is everywhere and you can be a part of bridging the gap and living the Gospel to our neighbors near and far.
Shelter Ministry – We partner with other local churches and ministries to provide shelter and food from November – March. Food preparation and service, transportation, overnight management, worship music and “the ministry of presence” are some of the ways to get involved.
Welcome and Greeting – You only get one chance to make a first impression. This is one of the most important ministries in our church, helping people feel welcomed, comfortable and connected.
